LMU-TAU Research Cooperation Program

The LMU-TAU Research Cooperation Program was established in 2017 as a joint program between Tel Aviv University (TAU) and LMU Munich. Its goal is to strengthen collaboration between the two universities in all areas of research.

AI-Humanity-Society Workshop for Early-Career Researchers

The AI-Humanity-Society workshop is a two-part workshop: starting with an online session on 16 January 2025, it is followed by a funded 3-day in-person meeting from 17 to 19 March 2025, designed specifically for early-career researchers from LMU Munich and TAU.

The in-person workshop brings together 14 Phd students, postdocs and early career scholars from TAU and LMU from various disciplines who are all working in the field of artificial intelligence.

The first workshop in this series was held at LMU Munich in December 2022 and co-organized by the German Israeli Foundation. More than 20 young researchers from LMU Munich and Tel Aviv University participated in this interdisciplinary workshop. Young Scientists and PhD candidates from the social sciences, humanities, business, law as well as computer sciences shared their research projects and jointly raised new research questions in the fields of decision-making processes, education and learning, and public policy, to name only a few.

Within the framework of this initial support for international research cooperation, you can apply for reimbursement of travel expenses of up to 10,000 euros.
